The Story Behind the Neighborhood

The Neighborhood Christmas Train Experience began with a simple family tradition and a love for Christmas. Brothers Jonathan, Tom, and Todd Galucki grew up fascinated by model trains, and over the years that passion became part of their own families’ holiday celebrations. Every Christmas season, the trains would come out, new scenes would be added, and children, parents, and grandparents would gather to marvel at the miniature world. As the years passed and their children grew older, the Galucki family realized the greatest part of the tradition wasn’t the trains themselves—it was the memories they created together. Rather than pack those memories away each January, they dreamed of sharing them with others.

That dream became the Neighborhood Christmas Train Experience. Today, families from across the community are invited to step into a place where Christmas comes alive through twinkling lights, moving trains, and the timeless joy of being together. From the very beginning, the family’s vision has been that every visit would do more than create smiles—it would also make a difference. That’s why the Neighborhood Christmas Train Experience proudly supports Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries, helping provide hope and assistance to local families in need during the holiday season. Every guest who walks through our doors becomes part of that story, helping spread kindness, generosity, and the true spirit of Christmas. We hope your visit becomes a tradition for your family, just as it has been for ours, and that the memories you make here will be cherished for years to come.

Jonathan Galucki, Chief Imagineer, is the engine behind all of it.

Supporting Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries

The Neighborhood Christmas Train Experience is a U.S. Government certified 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Our charitable partner, Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries (NCM), has served Southwest Gwinnett County since 1988. What started as a few local churches has grown into a network of 20 churches and community organizations providing emergency food assistance, medical support, rent and utility help, tutoring, and an annual Adopt-a-Family Christmas program.
